Selling a Chewlix cab in good condition. Some wear and tear on the outer plastics, there are a couple of small spots where plastic was scratched and painted over. Not really noticeable in person until pointed out.
No game system currently installed, the cab comes with a pair of Brooks boards...
I wasn't aware of Novus products before I did this resto, curious if Novus 3 would be sufficient to prep for a repaint. Good luck with your resto!
For the chassis look at my other thread to fix a monitor issue. I want to say it is a clone of the nanao chassis.
It's largely fine, my kids have scratched a couple spots back to the dull/yellowed plastic, but other than that it looks great.
You can get away without sanding but even a very light sanding improves stuff. For a super yellow cab I would sand with something like 400 grit or higher very lightly...
I bought an OK Baby from an auction awhile back, here's the thread if people want to see what fixing one up entails: https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/weche-ok-baby-arcade-cabinet-restoration.27302/
You could cut the wires on both the new and old fans and solder them together or you can repin your new fans, which is what I did:
-Note the color order on the old Naomi fan connector (cpu)
-remove the pinned cables from both connectors: use a safety pin or a very small piece of metal to pry...
Hi Everyone,
I've been reading some of the repair logs on Naomi 1's but haven't been able to identify my issue. Hoping for some suggestions of what to do.
Issue: House of The Dead 2 Cabinet with Naomi, will not boot. Black screen, no sound, no start button lights.

Found this thread while fixing up a noisy Naomi 1.
The advice was spot on for the case fan, for the CPU fan I went with a 45mm fan

(Used the old fan connector to rearrange the red/black cables as necessary)
The screws for the CPU mount are 2.5mm thread, I recommend...
Hey everyone! Happy Thanksgiving!
Life intervened for a bit on this project, but I wanted to come back and provide an update.
First things first, with the help of some folks in the monitor support thread, I got the picture fixed on the chassis with a judicious replacement of a capacitor...
I ordered an exact replacement for the C907 cap that was present. It was a 4.7uf 100v.
P.S. I did order a isolation transformer to add to the power supply setup and I will remove the mystery capacitor from the solder side of the chassis in the future when I replace multiple caps.
