Update. Replaced a bulging cap but still no luck. Ended up having to order a new PSU from Suzo Happ. It sucks but at least I can play House of the Dead now :thumbsup:

Came across this thread which described a similar issue. Just had to bridge earth ground and regular ground on the PSU. Seems to be a common issue in Suzo Happ PSUs. Monitor looks good, still didn’t solve the light gun issue though ||...

Hello. I’m slowly working on repairing a Virtua Cop 2 and the monitor needs some attention. It has these thin lines at a slight angle that move across the screen. These are different from refresh lines as they’re visible with the eye. I’m suspecting a grounding issue or possibly a monitor pot...

I’m working on restoring a Virtua Cop 2 and I ended up botching a wire repair on the wire that runs from the game board to the audio amp. Does anyone have a spare or know where I can purchase a replacement? Here’s a photo of the wire (before I messed up lol).

Yeah. I’ve come to that conclusion as well. I’m going to try my hand at restoring the artwork since I’ve come across a few high quality photos of it. I’ll post my results here if it turns out decent.
