NBA Jam TE - screen is darker than expected

So - the mystery deepens. I got another NBA JAM TE board - so I can do some comparisons - and the video levels on this one match my original board. when hooked up to the RT4k (to check levels) - RGB top out the same - about 80 (out of 255). So - maybe the levels I am seeing are just normal...

    ATAPI/IDE ODE Testing

A shameless plug - once this gets into wider distribution - for those with the programmable security dongle from a few years ago, this new IDE and BladeZX's board - I have the images all ready to go for the Rpi. that take into account what mode needs to be set, etc. Tested and ready.

    ATAPI/IDE ODE Testing

hey Coren - did you get the HDD image off of archive.org? 80 gig file unzipped. I think there is a character limitation - so I renamed mine from "NM00048 FUD1-HDD0-A (HDD).img" to "NM00048_FUD1-HDD0-A.hdd" Matt

    ATAPI/IDE ODE Testing

Ah ok - well that is a correct iso file then. File type should be exFAT - as some of the files are over 4gb. I am guessing since it copied over that was fine. Are the led lights blinking on the board after bootup? The next thing i would do is plug in a usb cable to it and then bring up a...

    WTB Namco 2X6-Pi Multi Selector

What in particular are you looking for? Just the circuit board - you supply the ODE, Pi and all the cables? Or you want everything, all ready to go?

NBA Jam TE - screen is darker than expected

Thanks for finding that repair! Replace FPGA at UF5. Replace 74ALS541 at UB4. Replace 7407 at UA4. I already replaced UA4 - I just ordered some 74ALS541's and will replace UB4. If that doesn't resolve it, I will need to try and find a donor board for the FPGA at UF5. Matt

(Solved) help with a Namco System 256 PCB replacement

Yep - you can use a higher voltage cap, although it might be physically larger - just check the placement.

(Solved) help with a Namco System 256 PCB replacement

These are the values - you just have to get the right footprint: C135 is marked with "C106" so 10 uF, 16v. L1 is marked with "470" so 47 uH

Parts I used for Blade's Rpi Loader for Namco 2x6

Well then unlikely if those parts have blown on the 2x6 motherboard, but easy to look and check. Maybe its the monitor? Matt

Parts I used for Blade's Rpi Loader for Namco 2x6

Well - that is good news! Either VGA port can be used - if both of them are dead, there is a inductor and a capacitor to check (I just had this exact same issue with my 256 Super). https://www.arcade-projects.com/threads/solved-help-with-a-namco-system-256-pcb-replacement.15723/#post-468412 Matt

Which game specifically? some of the are 246 or 256 only. You don't get a blue screen on bootup, with 7 dings?
