    Schematics explanation needed (UMK3/Wolf Unit)

Thank you. That helped a lot. I also figured out what IADDR (21,00) means. It continues on sheet 3 of the schematics. Just to prevent confusion for other Noobs, all the address lines are connected as advised, but the data lines will only show continuity with data pins of ROMs in the same...

    Schematics explanation needed (UMK3/Wolf Unit)

Hi all I'm working on a Midway UMK3 PCB. The self test identified U113 as bad. The CE, OE and all other lines seem to toggle on a logic probe and I've verified the contents on an EPROM reader. All fine. My next step is to trace the chip back towards the CPU. I think there might be RAM issues...

Mortal Kombat Bootleg PCB - Recap

Turns out that the sound in attract mode disappears after a couple of minutes by default. I had a similar experience with a Midway Mortal Kombat 2 PCB. If you insert a coin the sound is back.

Mortal Kombat 2 missing sticker (Solved)

Hi all Hope this is the right place to past. I was recently working on a Mortal Kombat 2 PCB and found this sticker lying on my table (see attachment). I would like to get it back to where it belongs, but can't seem to find photos anywhere of where it might have come from. Please help

Mortal Kombat Bootleg PCB - Recap

I recently got a similar looking MK Boot PCB. Had a few hiccups initially, but it seems to run fairly well, except the sound disappears after couple of minutes. I suspect I need to look into new caps, but any other suggestions? Also, I need to replace the battery. I see SmokeMonster used a...

Taito F3 ENSONIQ correct voltage calibration

I'm lost. Please help. This is a Bubble Symphony combo. My Capacitor legs broke and this is the ESP chip... How do you tell the revision of the main board? Mine Just Say New F3 Mother (Japan) What is the value of the capacitor, 22uF 16V? The board, incl. sound, seems to be working fine. Why...

    Namco Puck Man Original?

Hi all I got a project board from my neighbour and told him I would have a look at it - see if I can get it running. Not knowing a lot about arcade games (he's a PC tech), he says he pulled it from his cabinet years ago. It has been in storage since. Having a look at it today, the PCB is not...

In the making of a Namco System 11 Schematics and i need some help

Blue is back! I traced the signal back from the Blue JAMMA pin, past the filter, up to TR9 and TR10 on the Mother PCB. I was convinced it was the NPN Transistor at TR10, so I replaced it. Didn't do the trick. This wasn't very encouraging for me. I then used your schematics and managed to make...

In the making of a Namco System 11 Schematics and i need some help

Awesome, thank you so much Mine (GP-11) is missing the blue channel. It seems like a common problem, with various potential problem areas. Tracing backwards from the Blue JAMMA pin, the filter IO shows continuity. I'm currently investigating TR9 and TR10 - blue toggles frantically high and low...

In the making of a Namco System 11 Schematics and i need some help

Thank you for this. I'm also currently working on a Namco System 11 (Tekken Ver.B), but with a GP-11 CPU board (instead of a PG-13 as for schematics above). For the Noobs (like me), remember that the System 11 has 3 boards, the "Mother PCB", the CPU board and the ROMS board. The components...
