I use a gscart as well. And interestingly what I learned in this thread just recently is even on my old HAS, I was apparently using a non-ideal cable since both the 5.0 and the cable had 470ohm on the sync line. But it did work fine as far as I could tell, so hoping for the same with the...

Of course. I wasn't requesting any features with respect to the HAS. Just curious what people here were using for cables since TTL level SCART cables are not the norm in places I've looked. Hopefully once Retro Access is back up and running they'll be able to accommodate with some custom builds.

10 pin mini din is saturn, 9 pin mini din is genesis model 2, 8 pin mini din is the old HAS and also some older NES RGB mods. I'm not sure what else uses the 8 pin mini because the HAS was my first encounter with it. The Genesis model 1 uses a larger 8 pin DIN (similar to the Neo Geo AES, but...

I go from HAS to SCART switch to Retrotink. I guess I thought that would be a more common configuration here. Of course, being arcade forums, I would assume crts in cabinets and such, but also figured a number of folks would have tinks, ossc's, etc with modern displays for convenience. It seems...

I went ahead and ordered the RetroTink cable to try, figured it would be good to have in any case. I didn't realize the HAS's already had 470ohm on their sync output. The 8 pin mini DIN Retro Access scart cable I've got has 470 ohm on the cable, and it works fine with my HAS 5.0, so hopefully...

Speaking of Retrotink, do we know if this SCART cable would work with the HAS 5.1: https://www.retrotink.com/shop/hd15-to-scart-cable I'm looking at the wiki for the RT4K HD-15 port, and the pinouts seem to line up, except pin 9 says unused rather than 5V.

Are there any ready-made cables to convert the HD-15 output to mini-DIN 8 so I could use my current SCART cables? (basically opposite gender of the HD-15 to mini-DIN 8 cable on the store). Or if I need to make my own, is there a pin-out reference for the HD-15? Thanks. Edit: Or would this work...

Timeharvest Supergun 3.0 Features and Quirks

Well, n/m. Ordered HAS 5.1 today, so looks like the 5.0 will become my backup.

Timeharvest Supergun 3.0 Features and Quirks

Anyone have experience with this Timeharvest 3.0 version: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807509548532.html I used to have a 4.0 version, and I'm curious how the 3.0 compares. Obvious difference being the 4.0 used a cable to extend the jamma interface, but otherwise from just looking at it...

    Homebrew and Independent Release Recommendations

I was looking at GladMort, too. I agree, communication is often a big issue with indie releases, and just transparency on what's what. There are so many projects out there it's hard to know what's best to put your $ toward. And especially with Neo Geo releases, which can be quite pricey. So...

The cover looks great, wish I had noticed it when I checked out and bought my jamma harness extension. I had been waiting for that harness so long I just blew through the checkout as fast as possible.

    Homebrew and Independent Release Recommendations

Anyone know much about the DaemonClaw release for Neo Geo? There's a kickstarter page that says it was developed by NeoFid, but then the Pixelheart page selling pre-orders says the dev is BitBeamCannon. And there's also apparently a MegaDrive version that's available for pre-order on NeoFid's...

Thoughts on the BackBit Platinum cartridge?

I'm looking forward to this cart. I made the dumb mistake of getting rid of my 161 right before they became basically unobtainable. Now all I can find is the v2 for like $200, and v3 are nowhere to be found. I really need to learn to just not let go of things in this hobby. I need a better...

    Homebrew and Independent Release Recommendations

The Demons of Asteborg DX release looks promising. I bought their Genesis game rom, and it feels really well put together. Also looking forward to Double Dragon One. Not that I have anything against PvP fighting games, but I was always a bit let down that it was the only Neo Geo Double Dragon game.

    DIY mahjong controller?

Looks like an awesome project. I still lament getting rid of my Neo Geo mahjong controller, and for way too cheap. They're prohibitively expensive now.

Really enjoying Vengeance Hunters. Just wonder what else is out there that you guys really like. Can be physical cart or rom. Also, are there any you'd recommend staying away from? Thanks.

That looks real nice. Wish I had seen that earlier. I ordered some kind of 3D printed cover on Etsy already.

    RT-65A for HAS 5.0

Just tested everything with the HAS 5.0 and MV2F. Works perfect, no issues at all. Haven't messed around with the menu much yet other than adjusting the brightness (which is also seamless). The main reason I went with the RT-65A and not something more powerful was because I liked the small...
