Only SRAM PCMCIA/JEIDA cards are compatible with Neo Geo. If you want something with modern memory you'll have to get the new SaveMasta or JGO cards.

Here are a couple of examples I have, which work with Neo Geo. These JEIDA SRAM cards were commonly used with laptops and sewing machines at the time.

A regular non-rechargeable CR2032 should last for years on a PGM.

"Neo Geo"? Did they rearrange the soundtrack for the Neo Geo? I assume it just has a recording from the arcade.

Is the game expensive now? I would just return it or sell it to someone who can fix it and buy a new one.
