    Sega Astro City - Restored

Thanks for the TIP. Actually I was worried that I messed up after the Vinegar phase. Some parts still developed a rust patina afterwards, even after a 2nd soak. I might try Chemical Guy's polish afterwards. And by the way, beautiful Astro!

I don't know why I couldn't knew of these extraction pliers sooner, I've been trying to extract these m**** ****ers since last year. In case anybody reading this thread in the future, I used the Neji-Saurus PZ58 and PZ59. You...

Stripped screws on Astro City Chassis. Running out of ideas.

Thanks for the heads up Nem. I went with the Neji-saurus P59. For some reason these were cheaper than the Vampliers in Amazon. Would a 9" screw stripper be enough to get those bad boys? Thanks again for all your helpful advice. Nice day!

Stripped screws on Astro City Chassis. Running out of ideas.

Hi everyone, I've been struggling on this for months. It's the only thing hindering my restoration progress. The external screws are stripped after spending many removal methods over the past months. Tried using the correct JIS screwdriver. Tried to use WD-40 to loosen and unrust the screws...

Can anyone tell me if they've had positive experiences with Yaton?

I bought from YATON a little while ago on Facebook, around October 2020. It was kind of messy, but turned out well at the end though. I needed some spares for an Astro City, he sent me a Nanao MS9 at the end LOL. He totally confused my order, BUT the good thing is that I was looking for a MS9...

Astro City monitor screw mounting bracket snapped - How to glue it?

Good Night everybody, So, basically one of the three plastic mounting brackets just snapped in a half. It's the part that holds the monitor bezel with the control panel of the Astro City. What's the best way to glue this material? I reviewed some fixes and my only options are resin +...

Nanao MS8-29FSG sparks when plugged on & screen doesn't show any game images.

I 100% agree with you - and if you want to put it as a cautionary tale and warning thread please go ahead. I got this cab from a seller in Mexico, see... in my country there aren't as many GREAT condition used Astro City candy cabs you might think of. Most of them are already in collectors...

Hi @nem I finally took a photo of the Yoke in my Toshiba A68KJU96X ( 4B ) Would you know perhaps which YOKE could be this one? Seems like a NANAO but I couldn't find anything on Google about it specially on the WHITE like ring above the YOKE doesn't seem to drop any results. Thanks for the...

    WTB CRT Socket - 9 Pins [B10-277] for a Nanao MS8-29

Hope you are having a happy holiday guys. I'm looking for the following component. It's used in the Nanao's CRT board, mine got some broken pins when shipped to my house - Not an easy Aftermarket part to find online, most of them are different pin configurations or sold in asian countries...
