Greetings, and thanks for having me. I'm based out of San Francisco in the US, and while I've messed around with Arcade1Up cabinets and have a pretty wide array of experience messing with arcade software, I haven't had the chance to own any proper cabinet hardware myself, so I'm keen to get my hands dirty.
 
Welcome! I would spend a lot of time reading up on the forums about arcade cabs, styles, and types. Depending on the types of games you play you might be more inclined to go with a candy cab. Or maybe you like the nostalgia factor of good ol' wood cabinets. There's lots of options, and it's hard to pick just one!

I lived in SF for about 10 years. I have had many machines in locations that few would believe. Good luck with your journey!

You are lucky to live in the bay area, there are a lot of people living here that like arcade games.
