Is it possible to convert Hyper Fighting to Champion Edition swapping roms?

Hello. I'm looking for a japanese Champion Edition board, and I've been offered "Hyper Fighting". I'm very tempted since I like this version a lot.

I'd like to know if it would be possible to play CE with this board just swapping roms (maybe other games too?). I've read that it's possible to upgrade CE to HF, but I want to be sure that I can "downgrade" HF to CE.

Assuming it’s a legit CPS1 board and not some bootleg, it’s just a rom swap to go from CE to HF or back again.

As for other conversions, while they are possible they’re more involved. Just keep the board and wait for a Darksoft / Apocalypse CPS1 Multi and use that base motherboard with it.
