I have a chewlix that has a Brook UFB that is connected to a small adapter (see pic) that plugs into the JAMMA harness.
Now - I am aware Brook boards don't need a JAMMA connection, but I am also trying to keep JAMMA (or I guess CHAMMA anyway) a factor since I have a couple of JAMMA PCB's I want to use in it after I get a GBSC and whatnot.
The Brook board connects to this little board with a 20 pin cable and is only for controls, no video, power (that Im aware of) or anything. It did not have a second 20 pin connecter soldered in so I added one. I needed to test P2 controls but currently only have 1 Brook board. So I plugged the 20 pin cable in to the P2 connector, and they didn't work. I did check to make sure that the cable harness going from the control panel to the molex connector under the CP was connected properly (and to Player 2).
But no dice. Ive unplugged the Brook from the device (in this case a MiSTer) , from the brook board itself, and even tried a different 20 pin cable, even though I know it works with P1.
I know there's a possibility of wrecked traces, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Also, the pins that have continuity on P1 are the same on the P2 side. So I'm fairly certain that traces and solder joints are solid.
I thought maybe the jumpers you see near the board info needed to be changed and tried that, still no controls.
I'm just lookin for some ideas at this point, or checking to see if I overlooked something incredibly simple. I appreciate any and all help!
