Thinking of picking this up, but not seen this modification before.
QQ: What's this modification on MVS board?

That's normal, its a bodge board used on all Samurai Shodown V boards. SNK likely discovered an issue with the PROGBK2R after production and this was their fix. It looks like it might have something to do with bankswitching.
