I'm going to assume this has the Street Fighter 3/2 hack for boss characters.
You can unlock Akuma in the test menu I know of.

Is this just for 3/2 or does it support 3/1 and 3/3???

Other street need more skill because program code are modified for cardridge 3.2 (offset don't match). (for 3.2 it's just 1 offset to modify)

How do I know if I have a 3.2 cartridge? Do you mean a dedicated 2nd impact cart?

3.2 it's the short name of Street fighter III 2nd impact

if the image is for 3.2 that means that it can be played with a battery-less cart.

It could also replace any of the existing games in the ISO for custom sh2.
