Been enjoying Crimson Clover on my NNC the last couple of days, but my X2 gets kind off hot, pretty fast when in my cab.
The cab itself has a intake fan, but looks like it’s not enough to keep things cool.
Could just remove the service door, but it’s nice to have it locked away from curious 4 year old kid.
No issues yet, but would prefer to not have any issues at all and just enjoy the games....

I did change every fan to some nice quiet ones (Noctua) when I got my X2 a couple of years ago, but maybe I messed up the install on the case fan?

Is it intake or exhaust that works best for the bigboy in the front?

Thanks for the reply! No slow down yet, but would rather avoid heat issues.
wouldn’t it be smarter to use the case fan as a intake? Or does this mess with the airflow for the CPU?

You would think so, but it would depend on the cab airflow. If it's in a cab with no real air flow you would be sucking in the warm/hot air from the cab chassis/psu

Good point. Since my NNC has a intake fan that sucks “cool” air into the cab, I would think a intake fan would be best suited? Looks like I have to do some experiments...
