Hello everyone, I've been a lurker on here for a while and this is my first time posting. I recently got in two Taito Type X systems and immediately started testing each unit I got in to see what the issues were (they were sold to me untested). Both units have the exact same problem and I am just not familiar enough with Taito Type X to say I am heading in the right direction. Essentially the system just constantly bootloops. You plug in power and the fans spin up for about half a second and then everything shuts off. After a 1-2 seconds, the system does the same thing and just constantly attempts to power up over and over but it is never successful.
Like I said, both units are doing the same thing. I'll note stuff I have tried so far below.
-Replaced Power Supply
-Removed GPU and tried to power up
-Removed RAM and tried to power up (to see if I would get error beeps... I didn't).
-Replace CMOS battery
-Reset CMOS battery
-Jumped the ATX power supply to startup by bridging GND to the Green Wire on the ATX connector (Everything powers up but nothing on screen)
-Removed the JVS card and wiring and attempted to power on by shorting front panel pins (system truns on for 0.5 seconds and does not bootloop)
-Adjusted the DIP switches on the JVS card
-Inspected motherboard for blown capacitors or board damage
-Reseated all connections and ensured 4-pin CPU molex was present
I've never gotten anything to show on screen and it's quite puzzling that the other one I have has the same problem. Does anyone know what might be the issue? I'm starting to suspect CPU but before I go out buying random parts to throw at one of them, I was hoping someone might have already ran into a similar issue before.
thanks!
