So I've got an original Radirgy Noa Cart
I'm running it on NAOMI 2 with the multi-bios set to JP region (Radigry Noa will only boot on this region).

The Game seems to play perfectly and the ROM check comes back good on all 4 ROMs. but most of the time there is no in-game music. There is music when there should be during attract mode, and during boss fights I get the correct music, but the rest of the time when playing the game I get the sound effects but no musc.

There doesn't seem to be any options to speak of related to sound, and I've reset the game options a few times just for good measure.

Does anyone else have this cart? I'm curious if anyone has any idea if this is something to do with my setup or if maybe there is something wrong with my cart.
 
sounds strange. perhaps you got some buggy earlier version ? can you post ROM test screen with checksums ?
also might be caused by Multi-BIOS, few games known to not like it.
 
I burned a JP Rev H bios and tested the cart in a NAOMI 1 and it was still missing music.

If you watch this video here:

the music that plays at 0:20 all the way through 3:00 is missing on my game. and the boss music that starts at 3:00 is the first in-game music I get.
 
checksums looks the same as known/dumped game.
I have no good ideas why this may happen, perhaps something wrong with N2 mobo hardware ?
 
Apologies for dragging up a 3 year old thread, but I'm experiencing the same with my Radirgy cart. Did anyone ever figure out what the issue was?

Thanks for the update, I’ve been messing with this most of the day and it’s driving me crazy.
Just to document in case anyone else looks into it in the future, I also tested my CF version of NOA on an N2 with multi-bios and got the same results.
I guess we can rule out faulty carts at least!
 
I had this EXACT issue with my netboot a few days ago and so I just reimaged my SD card with backup I had. (which I needed to do anyways cause the one I was currently using was not a complete setup).

But yeah it happened randomly and then switching games power cycling and stuff didnt work. I only got sound effect and actually the boss music if you played long enough but that was it.
After the reimage it just worked so no idea what was happening tbh.

Good info, thanks for sharing! I think we can rule out faulty carts at this point since that’s two of us that have had issues using a net boot to load it with the same results. Someone commented that it could be something to do with the bios in an earlier comment, and I did get 2 EPROMs included with the cart, so maybe I’ll try and dig those out and see if that solves anything. This is perplexing!
