Final Vendetta: AES & MVS Version available for Pre-Order

Anyone else here order the cart? They've been a little quiet since that update in feb, hopefully they will update with some info on where things are at as it looks like the Q2 shipping target will be missed in a few days.

Yup, I did. Haven’t heard anything since that blog post :/

Aren't they also doing that T2 game? Granted that does look sick but yeah seems like this one is slipping again

Yeah that looks pretty sweet actually, too bad it's not getting a Neo Geo port by the looks of it (i think some of the gameplay previews also shows some stuff beyond Neo Geo capabilities.).

Sadly, same.

I don’t mind the wait if it means getting it right, but I’d appreciate a bit more communication.

Plenty of good feeling, with the printed PCB upgrade and additional character but that’ll evaporate if they don’t keep people in the loop…

I'm just zen about it at this point

I ordered Fast Striker for AES over 6 years ago, and it still hasn’t shipped! So, this Final Vendetta delay seems short 🤣🤣
I must say the lack of updates is a little frustrating, if you're going to take a bunch of money and miss the target shipping date, i think an update on the state of things isn't too much to ask, especially when they're busy flogging their new terminator game.

I keep harassing them on twitter…
They’re blaming a glitch in the PCB design..
But it’s obvious all their resources are in T2, and they don’t give a crap about this project.

I believe that the glitch was real. We're not going to experience Neo Geo Dev team levels of ridiculous delays.

If T2 is going to keep the company in business, so be it. I doubt that this MVS release of Final Vendetta will roll into 2026.

Hopefully the cart behaves when it finally comes out, my last purchase of a new neogeo game was Vengeance Hunters, which works great but when you put it in a multislot it never gives up its attract mode. So once the neogeo cycles through to vengeance hunters it stays there forever. Brought it up on their discord and looks like they no longer have the guy with the neogeo coding skills to fix it (the cart has a sdcard slot for updates and all too so could be fixed, but they lack the people/staff to do it).

Crossed fingers for this cart, but not overly hopeful

And they're still taking preorders knowing this bug is there?

I'm getting deja vu, remembering all the hardware delays on Xeno Crisis, not to mention the audio issue it shipped with. I'm sure they're being extra careful.

Oh wow i didn't know they were still trying to sell more carts, i thought that was done.

This was the response on discord when i asked for an update on my report that attract mode was broken:
"We have had issues with getting to the bottom of some issues that are specific to hardware interactions. The only people who could potentially assist are no longer working on such projects and we are doing the best we can. So I can't guarantee a fix, but I can at least say we're aware of issues and hope to resolve them."

I'll ask again.

Vengeance Hunters is a great Neo Geo game, but considering that Nalua Studio is TerraOnion under a different name, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for software updates from them.

There must be something especially difficult about the attract mode and multi slots…

My copy of Fast Striker is on the latest patch (1.5???), and in a multi slot the attract mode effectively crashes the motherboard back to the boot screen.
If FS is in any slot but the last slot then you’ll never see any of the other games positioned after it.
You can manually move past it with the select button.
I suppose you could position FS in the last slot, and you’ll still see all the games in the cab, but the crashes every cycle can’t be good so I think I’ll stick to playing it on a single slot…

Soundtrack is pretty cool too and that cart is a good 20% quieter than all other games which is really noticeable in a multi slot…

I think America was talking specifically about UNIBIOS in this case as the creator is no longer working on it, not the VH team, but regardless, I think waiting for more updates from them is unlikely b/c they didn't seem to have sold a ton of the game and the kickstarter did not fund.
