One of my Namco N2s has a failed DIMM slot so one cabinet has to run with 1GB of ram. Game plays fine with some slowdown on visually heavy stages like C1, able to do story mode and everything just fine but when you do battles you can never win due to the cabinet running slower.
I bought some PC3200 DDR-400 2GB DIMMs ([2x2GB] DDR-400 PC3200 ECC Registered 184 Pin 2.5V CL=3 Memory 128X4) but the N2 just beeps as if it has no RAM installed. Motherboard is based on the K7N2GM-IL which I believe should support 2GB DIMMs.
I don't necessarily want to take out the motherboard and try to reflow the solder joints on the DIMM connector yet but I cannot see any reason why these DIMMs would not be compatible with this motherboard unless it straight up doesn't support 2GB DIMMs which I do not see being the case so far.
Anyone have any ideas?
