I'm interested in the MS2930 but without the remote board, there's no way to manually change the resolution?

Pardon my ignorance, but is this a quirk specific to this chassis (or other chassis with a resolution switch on the remote), or is this a universal rule (don't power on without a remote)?

you could view it as a universal rule. i know of a few chassis were components will blow without the remote board inline. some lower tech chassis not so much, all depends - but definitely a good rule of thumb.
