Neo Geo - 161-in-1 resets soft dips

Hello! I have the 161-in-1 MVS cart and I can enter to the soft dip settings in memory but as soon as I load another game or turn off the cabinet, all the soft dips settings of the other slots reset. Is there any solution to keep that? It’s really boring to enter each time to activate blood on MS etc

I've heard of this happening with some 161-in-1 cart variants, but not aware of any fix or root cause...

My 161-in-1 and NeoSD seemed to get stuck in this loop where something like this was happening. No soft dips were saving and they were defaulting to weird settings. The 161 was booting directly into Nightmare in the Dark when I tried to activate Pick'n Mix, but wouldn't let me select anything.

Clearing the backup ram cleared all of this up. Probably corrupt data from booting with the 161-in-1 improperly seated. That thing is too tight.
