Dude, your name says it all.
yawn.
nd price policing is a negative term bc people like you come here and shit up threads!
your posturing. you wouldn't have said "no price policing" unless you thought there would be an issue with your claims.

you should be able to stand behind the things you say. not get butt hurt that someone calls your BS.

If you are going to pump the market you should be better at hiding it.

@MissionFailed if you' have been lurking around you no doubt have seen one of my many many negative comments around here.
I just bust it right out for ya'll, some appreciate this, some prob think I'm an asshole. :)

Point is most of the time all good (price policing, public justice, whatever you want to call it) so long as you keep it about the subject.
Don't attack others on a personal level, and as I remind myself...
We are all here, basically for one/the same reason, a love of arcades/games (even tho the ones from Rare mostly sux)! :D

Dude, your name says it all.
Be nice, you're cool and this sale has the Jassin seal of approval (not that it means anything to anyone, just saying). ;)

I’m not butt hurt, I’m annoyed a clueless person is in here trying to say a NS is only worth $275.

Your mission to price police has failed, you are clueless about board prices, you ARE shitting up this thread.

“your” posturing doesn’t make any sense. I literally said, no price policing in this thread, yet you roll up and not only do so, you do so extremely poorly.

Thanks for playing, please move aside and let the next person take a turn.

you ARE shitting up this thread.
I mean, the thread was only for posterity, it's not like it has any effect on anything, the games were sold before the thread was posted.
That being said, if you feed the trolls, they only grow stronger.
I can’t help it, I have a small troll food garden in the back. It has to go somewhere.

Really though, I actually lowered my price on NS to only $20 more than I paid and I didn’t want the buyer to feel like I took advantage of him. On BT, I honestly feel like it was a little high, but I myself paid too high for it (I call that XtraSmiley effect) so the cost got passed on. About two years ago I got one for $500 and that’s the cheapest I’ve been able to score. This on came from KLOV, and was meant for another A-P member, who I help out from time to time, but this buyer is far away and it was a chance to get him two games in one box. He’s happy, that’s what matters. If you guys can’t tell, it’s not about the money for me, I like playing them! Of course, if I had a $400 Punisher like someone in here, I would NOT sell it for $400, but I guess I’m not as good a person as @jassin000 who is a sweet heart in some ways!

’m actually buying and selling to some members and collectors who don’t frequent the forms a lot. Mainly just to help me get some trading fodder for games I really can’t seem to find.

Also, I “flip” for about same price I paid, plus shipping (from Japan) and about 10% profit.

I think 10% is fair if I’ve got money tied up in a product, plus risk it doesn’t work or something.

Everyone claims I over pay, but I haven’t had any issues trading or selling when needed yet!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_fool_theory

In finance and economics, the greater fool theory states that the price of an object is determined not by its intrinsic value, but rather by irrational beliefs and expectations of market participants.[1][/sup] A price can be justified by a rational buyer under the belief that another party is willing to pay an even higher price.[sup][2][/sup][sup][3][/sup][sup][4] In other words, one may pay a price that seems "foolishly" high because one may rationally have the expectation that the item can be resold to a "greater fool" later.

So you are profiteering and flipping games from YJ? I thought you where just helping people out? I didn't realize it was my responsibility to help you profit and justify putting your self between the item and a actual buyer.

So we are all bidding agents you on stuff and you are just going to buy it and turn around and put it up for sale here to us for what ever price you forced bid + an extra %10 to cover your "risk".

that's not your fault and you aren't a flipper for profit.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endowment_effect

In psychology and behavioral economics, the endowment effect (also known as divestiture aversion and related to the mere ownership effect in social psychology[1]) is the finding that people are more likely to retain an object they own than acquire that same object when they do not own it.
f I had seen this I would have bought a 4th one,
you are boasting about flipping and prospecting and you saying no one is aloud to say anything to the counter or you will fain victim.

When I point out you are pumping the market and profiteering. Your argument can not be

" hey, I'm pumping the market and profiteering here! Dont blow up my spot , guy!"

that not an argument. It's an admission.

If your really wanted to help people out there are other ways to do so without profiting off the people you are "helping"

You're 100% correct @MissionFailed, everything you've posted is spot on. Tell you what, I'll shut up no, go head and post some more. Also, please start your for sale thread of the dozens of Night Slasher boards you want to sell for $275. I promise I own't buy any of them, but instead will leave them for the market here.

@MissionFailed this hobby, like most others are not driven by rationale.

Regards to buyers - since its their money you dont have a say. Regards to sellers, they can include any cost they want again, you only recourse is to not buy that item from the seller.

Also like any hobby people are invested in items - like you pointed out without a real accepted intrinsic value. It is never a good idea to try and disrupt the market since people invested in it will not like it specially in a forum dedicated to the hobby.

If you really believe that the market is a bubble (from your references I inferred that), then wait it the bubble bursts if you can otherwise, if you are driven by emotions, buy it :P
