If you can get a probe on the reset signal going to the k 1 and power on the board you should see it go from low to high to verify what I am seeing
I know you've probably checked but these boards are famous for bootup crashes due to battery and battery backed ram issues. Is the score save RAM getting enough of the battery voltage and is it actually working correctly.
